Nelson is a graduate of Ithaca College at Ithaca, New York where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Upon graduation Nelson started his career withShaye, Lutz, Schwartz & King, CPA?s, later known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, a ?Big Six? accounting firm of Albany, New York. There as manager he provided specialized services in all aspects of business growth, management, finance, tax controls and personnel. He advised on business plans and the development and implementation of management information systems. He also directed implementation of the Emerging Business Services Unit providing services to start up and small growing businesses. He was a member of the team conducting national peer review of the firm and an instructor for national educational and training courses.
Nelson was a Chief Financial Officer of Mega Group Inc., a public company listed on the NASDAQ Exchanges, from 1992 to 2001. There he was responsible for all accountingrecords, preparation of SEC reporting, preparation of financial statements and tax filings, and the administration of the accounting department. He also conducted due diligenceefforts with a variety of funding sources in connection with the public markets.
Currently Nelson is self-employed as an accountant in Saratoga County. He provides a diverse range of accounting, tax and planning services to his clients.
